About me I was born in June 1945, in London.  Came to Norway at 1,5 years of age (in 1947).  M.Sc. from the University of Bergen, 1969 in Geophysics/Meteorology.  Title of thesis: "Atmospheric diffusion in theory and practice".  Dr. philos. from the University of Tromsø, 1992 in Marine Geology.  Title of thesis: "Physical and biological effects of focused gas drainage through the seabed." Family: Wife (Målfrid), two sons (Morten and Øyvind), daughter (Ingrid) and eight grandchildren: Magnus, Tore, Mina Cornelia, Henrik, Mikkel, Linn, Allis, and Marthe.
